You can buy this ingredient already made in any supermarket. But, if you want, you can make it at your home too. In addition it is a healthy recipe, thanks to the fact that there is no oil. If you want to make a different an delicious dish, prepare this vegetable stuffed puff pastry.

INGREDIENTS for 4 people

  • 2 layers of puff pastry
  • 2 carrots
  • 8 green asparagus
  • 1 aubergine
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 sweet onion
  • 4 oz of sliced cheese
  • Butter
  • 1 tsp of thyme
  • 1 tsp of oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil


Time needed: 45 minutes.

Follow the next steps to prepare the vegetable stuffed puff pastry:

  1. First in a pan add the carrots, the tomatoes, the onion and the esparagus.

    In a big pan over medium heat, put a little oil jet. When it is hot, add the carrots and the tomatoes, both of them well-chopped. Also aggregate the onion and the esparagus in small pieces. Season, and then place the thyme and the oregano. Let the ingredients cook for 5 minutes, stirring from time to time.

  2. Aggregate the aubergine and the zucchini.

    Afterwards, add the aubergine and the zucchini cut in small pieces. Season them and let them cook for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, and keeping the medium heat. After that time, remove from the heat.

  3. Prepare the base of this recipe on a baking tray.

    Grease a mold where we are going to prepare the vegetable stuffed puff pastry with butter, to prevent it will stick. Cover the bottom with one of the puff pastry layers. Then, put on it the stir-fry that we was made previously. And on top of it, place the slices of cheese.

  4. Finish setting up this dish

    Later, cover all with the other puff pastry layer. Make sure that the fill is well-compacting, without free holes. Prick the surface of the puff pastry with a fork, to give the inner gases a scape route to the outside during the baking.

  5. Finally, put it in the oven and serve it.

    Place the vegetarian stuffed puff pastry in the oven, preheated over 356ºF, for about 20 minutes. After that, remove the baking tray from the oven and remove the puff pastry from the baking tray. Lastly, serve it cut in portions.
