Red spaghetti with tomato

Red spaghetti with tomato. It is a tasty recipe. These spaghetti have an additional ingredient which will give a touch much more creamy, apart from the already known trick of adding water from the broth of the cooking. Let´s see how to make these red spaghetti with tomato:

INGREDIENTS for 2 people:

  • 7oz spaghetti
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 14oz crushed tomato
  • 3.5 fl oz half cream (milk cream)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 3.5 fl oz broth where we cook the spaghetti
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Oil
  • Grated cheese (optional)

1.- In a big pan, put a little of oil over low heat. Add onion and garlic finely chopped. Season and cook about 5 minutes while stirring frequently.

2.- After that time, add tomato. Put salt and let cook 10 minutes over low heat.

3.- While make sauce, cook spaghetti. For a correct cook, is very important to add a lot of water in a pot. (1l per 100g/3oz of pasta) When water boils, pour a good handful of salt (without fear), add spaghetti and stir everything frequently, especially at first, this prevents them from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

4.- Once cooked- After about 10 minutes-Save 100ml of the cooking broth. Drain the rest of water from spaghetti.

5.- In the tomato sauce (will be pretty solid and it will have lost much of the water it had) add half cream and paprika (add more flavor and more red color) and stir well until all ingredients are reheated.

6.- When all ingredients are integrated and heated, add spaghetti, dry oregano and the broth of the cooking that we had reserved. Stir and cook all about 2 minutes more. Until the spaghetti have absorbed all the “liquid” part of the sauce. Delicious!

And finally, if sprinkle a little of grated cheese on this red spaghetti with tomato, the recipe will be spectacular. Test it!
