Mushrooms in wine sauce. A typical Spanish recipe. In this elaboration, mushrooms will release all its flavours and the sauce will have a gentle sour touch by the white wine. Let´s to see in few steps how to make this mushrooms in wine sauce.
MUSHROOMS IN WINE SAUCE
INGREDIENTS for 4 people:
- 17.5 oz. mushrooms
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 3.5 fl oz. white wine
- 3.5 fl oz. chicken broth
- 1 tbsp flour
- Fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper
MUSHROOMS IN WINE SAUCE RECIPE:
1.- In a large pan, put a little of oil over medium heat. When it is hot, add the onion and the garlic clove previously chopped both in small pieces. Season and cook all for about 10 minutes while stirring frenquently.
2.- Now, we are going to put the mushrooms previously cleaned and chopped in small slices. Add some salt and chopped parsley. Let to cook them for about 5 minutes while stirring all ingredients.
3.- After that time, add the white wine. Stir again and let to boil for about 2 minutes so that its alcohol evaporates. Then, add the flour and mix all well. In this way, lumps will dissapear. Raise the heat a little and cook all for about 3 minutes until the flour is browned to obtain the black sauce.
4.- Finally, put the chicken broth and mix all well. Let to cook them for about 5 minutes while stirring occasionally until the mushrooms is softed. If you see the sauce is a little dry, add more chicken broth. Season if it is necessary and… Serve it inmediatelly!
This recipe is very easy to make at home! If you want, you can add some more chopped parsley to decorate the dish. This will give more flavour our mushrooms in wine sauce. If you wish a spicy touch, you can put a cayenne pepper in the initial stir-fry.
