GARLIC SHRIMP AND MUSHROOMS PASTA RECIPE

Garlic shrimp and mushrooms spaghetti. People love pasta and everybody have some pasta recipe in their cookbook. It is a complet and economical food. Today we are going to make an easy recipe. You don´t need to stay a lot of time in the kitchen. For make this elaboration, you only cook the pasta in plenty boiling water with a handful of salt. You don´t cook the spaghetti completely. The idea is make a stir-fry along with the mushrooms and shrimps and then add the semi-cooked spaghetti. In this way they will absorb all the flavours. INGREDIENTS for 4 people:

  • 14 oz. spaghetti
  • 7 oz. shrimps
  • 7 oz. mushrooms
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • A knob of butter
  • 1/2 glass of white wine
  • A handful of fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC SHRIMP AND MUSHROOMS SPAGHETTI:

Time needed: 30 minutes.

  1. Cook the spaghetti in plenty boiling water.

    In a casserole over high heat, put a plenty of water a handful of salt. When it is boiling, add the spaghetti. Let to cook them for about 8 minutes, while stirring them frequently. When they are soft, but they aren´t completely cooked, remove them from the heat and dry them from the water. Reserve a cup of the cooking water.

  2. Meanwhile, make the stir-fry with shrimp and mushrooms.

    In a pan over medium heat, put an oil jet. When it is hot, add the garlic cloves previously chopped and the mushrooms cut into slices. Season and let to cook for about 5 minutes, while stirring frequently. After that time, add the shrimps previously peeled and let to cook all the ingredients for about other 5 minutes more, while stirring them again, with frequently.

  3. Finish to make the stir-fry, adding the parsley and white wine for to make an extra flavour to garlic shrimp and mushrooms spaghetti.

    Then, add the chopped parsley and the white wine. Let to cook all the ingredients for about 2 minutes more. In this way, the alcohol will evaporate. Stir them again. Afterwards, let to cook them for about 2 minutes more. After that time, add the butter to the pan and stir again until it is completely dissolved and incorporated with the rest of the ingredients.

  4. To finish the dish, put the spaghetti in the pan and cook them along with the rest of the ingredients.

    Add the spaghetti to the pan and season. Stir them until the spaghetti mix them with the rest of the ingredients. Let to cook them for about 5 minutes, while stirring frequently. When they are “al dente” remove them from the heat. Finally, if you think they will be a little of dry, add a little of cooking water.

It is a very easy and quick recipe! Prepare this garlic shrimp and mushrooms spaghetti is an easy work. If you don´t have fresh shrimp, you can use some frozen shrimps. In this case, you should defrost them previously or add them before to stir-fry to cook them completely.
