Double cheeseburger

Double cheeseburger. Hamburger is the king of typical American food. It is so popular that you can eat it in any fast food restaurant. Two hamburger, one on top of the other with its relevant slice of cheese each one. Also you will learn a trick to get that the slice melts easily. In this way you will obtain a delicious melted cheese. We make a simple version of the hamburger which result will surprise you. In only 15 minutes you will get this double cheeseburger if you follow this steps.

INGREDIENTS for double cheeseburger for 2 people

  • 14 oz of minced meat
  • A garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp of onion powder
  • Rosemary and dry thyme
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 hamburger breads
  • 4 slices of sandwich cheese
  • some lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 onion
  • oil
  • ketchup, mayonnaise… (Of your choice)


Time needed: 20 minutes.

For making this delicious double cheeseburger you only need to follow this easy steps:

  1. At first, prepare the hamburgers

    In a bowl put the minced meat- it can be a pig meat, a veal meat or mixed- the garlic, the onion powder, the rosemary, the thyme, a pinch of freshly ground black pepper and a pinch of salt. You can add or remove the ingredients to your choice. Then, mix all the ingredients with your hands until obtain a homogeneus mass.

  2. Cook the hamburgers

    Afterwards, catch a little portion of meat and make a ball with it. In a pan, put two of the to cook at a time with a oil jet over high heat.

  3. Then, we are going to shape to the hamburger

    With a spaula, squash the mixture until obtain a hamburger the size of the bread where we are going to eat it. Then, let to cook it for about 2 minutes if you love rare meat or about 5 minutes if you love well-done meat.

  4. Toast the bread

    While the meat is cooking, prepare the bread. You can toast it in the oven or in a pan. Then, at the base of bread, put some lettuce leaves and one or two slices of tomato.

  5. Cook the other side of the hamburger

    After that time, turn around to each hamburger with the spatula. Immediately, put a slice of cheese over each one and cook the other side for about 2 or 5 minutes.

  6. Melt the cheese

    When hamburger was cooked to your taste, finish melt the cheese. Add to the pan a little of water. In this way, the steam that you will obtain that the cheese melts more quickly. Cover the pan and let to cook it for about a minute without remove the heat.

  7. Finish to make the hamburger

    Finally, with cheese has been melted, put a hamburger over another. Remove them from the pan and place them over the bread with it lettuce and tomato. Over it put some rings onion, add you favourite sauce and… Serve it!

It is very easy and quick to make this double cheeseburger in your home. Although it is not advisable to eat it every day, you always will want to make it, because this homemade recipe is ideal for any ocasion!
