CHINESE FRIED RICE RECIPE
Chinese fried rice. A Tasty recipe. It consist in a boiled rice, along with vegetables, meat and omelette. All this is fried in a very hot oil and if you want, you can add soy sauce. It is a very tasty and cheap recipe. Also, it is a very easy to make. Below, how to make chinese fried ried.
INGREDIENTS for chinese fried rice for 4 people:
- 800g/28oz rice
- 4 eggs
- 4 carrots
- 150g/5oz green peas
- 150g/5oz diced cooked ham
- 6 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
CHINESE FRIED RICE RECIPE:
1.- Cook the rice (long rice is advisable). Put twice more water than rice and in a casserole and when it boil, add the rice along with a pinch of salt. Stir a little at first so that the rice does not stick. Cook over low heat about 20 minutes.
2.- In other pot, put plenty of water and bring to boil it. Add diced carrots and green peas. Add a pinch of salt and boil about 10 minutes.
3.- While cooking these ingredients, prepare an omelette (It has to be very thin). Put the eggs in a bowl and add a pinch of salt. Then, beat them.
4.- Put a little of oil in a large nonstick pan over medium heat. When it´s hot, add the beaten eggs and cook about two minutes.
5.- Turn the omelette with help of dish to cook the other side. Once made, remove it from the pan.
6.- When carrot and green peas are boiled, drain them from the water. Do the same step with rice.
7.- Finally, in a wok or in a big pan, put a little oil over high heat. When it’s hot add rice, green peas and carrots. Also add diced omelette. Put ham and, optionally add soy sauce. This sauce will add a lot of flavour and dark color to the rice. Stirring all ingredients over high heat about 2 minutes.
