Baked provolone with tomato is a typical italian recipe. The most important italian foods have the colours of their flag (green, white and red) In this case, the same thing happens: green for oregano, white for cheese and red for tomato. To prepare this baked provolone with tomato you only need 4 ingredientes, its a very easy recipe!
BAKED PROVOLONE WITH TOMATO
INGREDIENTS for 4 people:
- 4 big pieces of provolone cheese
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
BAKED PROVOLONE WITH TOMATO RECIPE:
1.- At first, chop the tomatoes. In this occasion, it´s not necesary to eliminate its peel.
2.- Spread the garlic cloves at the bottom of 4 clay bowls (one per person) or a similar container whose endure the heat well. The idea is when you eat this baked provolone you notice the flavor of the garlic.
3.- Then, put a thin layer of the chopped tomato. Over it and in the middle of the clay bowl, put a piece of the provolone cheese and fill the rest of bowl with the chooped tomato. Repeat this step with the rest of bowls.
4.- Afterwards, introduce the bowls inside preheated oven, over 180ºC/350ºF for about 10 or 15 minutes, until the provolone cheese melts.
5.- After that time, remove it out from the oven, sprinkle it with oregano and finally, serve it immediately.
