Who does not know the apple pie. A popular dessert that has many variants. The most typical is made with puff pastry. However, since it takes a lot of work to make it, here we are going to prepare it with a base of biscuit and butter that is made more quickly. This apple pie requires very few ingredients to be made and to weigh them, we will need a water glass (7oz/200ml), which we will use as a measuring cup.
INGREDIENTS for 4 people:
- 3.5oz/100g of cookies
- 2oz/50g of butter
- 6 medium apples
- 1 glass of milk
- 1 glass of flour
- 1/2 glass of sugar
- 5oz/150g of peach or apricot jam
APPLE PIE RECIPE:
1.- Crush the cookie with a blender. Then put them on a plate, add the melted butter and mix well with a spoon.
2.- Put this mixture on the bottom of a springform pan. With these amounts, in one of 18-20cm it’s OK. Spread the mold with oil or with more melted butter (so that the cake does not stick) and introducing the mixture of biscuit and butter. Crush it with a glass or spoon and extend it all over the surface of the mold. This will be the cake base.
3.- Now, once again with the blender, add 4 apples already peeled and without the core and cut it into cubes. Add the flour, milk and sugar. crush everything well.
4.- Introduce this mixture on the biscuit and butter base. Above it, put the other two apples, also peeled and cut into very thin slices.
5.- Introduce in the oven, previously heated to 180ºC. Let here for about an hour.
6.- Remove from oven and let it temper a bit. Then unmold and paint it all over its surface with the jam. It will give a very bright touch and greatly improve its flavor.
It is very easy to prepare this apple pie. There are more complicated variants but, due to its simplicity and its deliciousness, this is my favorite recipe version for this dessert!
